Taste of the Gascoyne Food Trail

FOOD TRAIL PARTICIPANTS

Follow the Prawn Trail

The Taste of the Gascoyne Food Trail is less a menu and more a journey through one of Australia’s most distinctive food landscapes.

Spanning 135,000 square kilometres of coastline, river systems, plantations and pastoral stations, the Gascoyne is home to an extraordinary concentration of premium produce. Sweet bananas, vine-ripened tomatoes, tropical fruit, wild-caught seafood, pastoral meats and native ingredients all thrive in this unique landscape where red earth meets turquoise sea.

This year, the Food Trail celebrates one of the region’s most iconic ingredients – the prawn. From the pristine waters of Shark Bay to the world-class fisheries of Exmouth, local cafés, restaurants, breweries, bars and roadhouses have created exclusive dishes showcasing the exceptional quality and flavour of wild-caught Gascoyne prawns.

Whether you’re enjoying freshly grilled prawns overlooking the Indian Ocean, discovering a hidden local favourite in a country town, or lingering over a long lunch with friends, each dish tells a story of the people, places and industries that have shaped the Gascoyne.

Available exclusively during the Festival, the Food Trail invites visitors to follow the prawn from Shark Bay to Exmouth and experience the region one unforgettable bite at a time.
