A Celebration of Carnarvon’s Cultures
Taste of the Gascoyne brought together Carnarvon’s vibrant multicultural communities for an evening of food, music and celebration.
Guests wandered between food stalls and enjoyed authentic tasting plates prepared by local community groups, each sharing the flavours, traditions and stories of their culture. Portuguese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Croatian, Thai, Taiwanese, Chinese, Italian and Australian favourites came together in one lively celebration of Carnarvon’s diverse community.
Families gathered on the lawn, sampled dishes from across the world and enjoyed an evening of live entertainment, cultural performances and community spirit.
The Festival was officially opened by The Hon. Hannah Beazley MLA, followed by performances from local cultural groups before The Family Shoveller Band took to the stage to close out the evening.
Free to attend and open to all ages, Taste of the Gascoyne was one of the Festival’s most colourful and welcoming community events.
