Fireside Yarns: Land, Sea & Story

Carnarvon | Wednesday 26 August

As the fire begins to glow and the desert sky darkens overhead, gather for one of the Festival’s most moving and memorable evenings at Gwoonwardu Mia.

Led by renowned chef and storyteller Paul Iskov, together with Mark Attard, this intimate experience is a celebration of the Real Futures Hospitality Program students as they reach the final chapter of their training journey. With the students helping to create the menu, the evening brings together Indigenous knowledge, native ingredients, storytelling, and contemporary dining in a way that feels deeply grounded and profoundly human.

Stories of land, sea and culture unfold throughout the evening, creating a rare opportunity to connect more deeply with the spirit of the region through food and conversation.

Raw. Powerful. Unforgettable.
