The Gascoyne Food Festival 2025 is just around the corner, and this year it’s bigger, bolder, and more delicious than ever before, packed with show-stopping events, unforgettable flavours, and unique outback-meets-ocean vibes. But between all the feasting, sipping, and dancing — you’ll need somewhere to stay! So here’s your guide to the best places to stay along the Gascoyne Food Trail.

Carnarvon – Kick Off in Culinary Style

The festival kicks off in Carnarvon with the iconic Long Table Lunch on Saturday 26 July, where Gascoyne produce takes centre stage in a stunning setting of a lush banana plantation. Then on Sunday 27 July, head to the water’s edge for the Great Carnarvon Feast & Groove on the Fascine — a relaxed afternoon of local food, live music, and sunshine.

Midweek, things heat up with Around the Firepit at Gwoonwardu Mia on Wednesday, 30 July. This food theatre-style experience brings together flavour, storytelling, and cultural connection. Guests will roam interactive stations featuring fresh oyster shucking, Shark Bay prawn skewers, crocodile rice paper rolls, and native-inspired desserts including wattleseed tiramisu and saltbush caramel brownies — all served around a glowing firepit.  It’s immersive, exciting, and a must-attend!

Then on Friday 1 August, it’s time to glam up for the Massey Bay Prawns & Pimms Race Day Think stylish outfits, refreshing Pimms, and fabulous seafood, topped off with a Fashion on the Field parade. It’s set to be one of the festival’s most fun and fashionable days out.

Where to Stay in Carnarvon:

We recommend the Norwesta Lifestyle Park — it’s clean, central, and close to all the action. Whether you’re road-tripping or flying in, it’s a comfortable base to recharge between events.

The Carnarvon Visitor Centre is also super helpful if you’re looking for any further options.

Exmouth – Feast by the Sea

The festival continues north to Exmouth, bringing bold flavours and beachside fun. On Friday 8 August, join the party at the Mexican Fiesta at The Shack 🌮🎉 — a colourful night full of spicy seafood, frozen margaritas, and fiesta energy. The next evening, slow things down with the serene and elegant Under the Full Moon at Mantarays 🌕✨. Expect decadent dining, incredible coastal views, and a magical atmosphere under the stars.

The final weekend wraps up with the Beer & Food Pairing at Froth Craft Brewery on Friday 15 August, followed by the high-energy Whalebone Hoedown 🤠 — a night of dancing, hearty eats, and good old-fashioned fun.
